Children Sponsorship
A Canadian citizen or permanent resident can sponsor a child who is under 22 years old (or more than 22 years old under some conditions) and does not have a spouse or common law partner.
Parents & GrandParents Sponsorship
The program is meant to reunite Canadian citizens and permanent residents with their parents and grandparents. Eligible applicants can sponsor their parents and grandparents to become Canadian permanent residents. You must prove that you have enough resources by providing your proof of income.
Other Family Member Sponsorship
You can sponsor your relatives in some special circumstances. You must however meet the criteria. There are two options: Orphaned brother, sister, nephew, niece or grandchild and Other relative.
Adoption
A Canadian citizen can adopt a child who in turn becomes a permanent resident or citizen (provided the adoption is finalized) in Canada. The sponsor must meet the eligibility requirements.
There are two processes involved in the process.
They are the adoption process and the immigration process. The adoption process usually takes place outside Canada while the immigration process happens within Canada.
