Every year, Canada admits students from all over the world to study in both secondary and post secondary institutions. To study in a post secondary institution in Canada, the institution must be a designated learning institution. You need an admission letter from your institution, Provincial Authorization Letter (PAL), proof of financial support and proof of identity, to apply for a study permit.
You might also be required to provide some other documents by the immigration officers. While studying, you may be authorized to work for up to 24 hours per week outside your campus.
After graduation, you may qualify for a Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) to work for some years in Canada. You can transmute into a permanent resident during this period. Furthermore, you can study in Canada as a minor provided you meet the conditions stipulated for minors studying in Canada. You may study in a secondary or post secondary school as a minor.

Canada issues TRPs for applicants seeking to come to Canada or already in Canada but are inadmissible under the IRPA, reportable for a violation of the IRPA, or subject to a report under subsection A44(1). You can qualify if you fall into one of these categories.
