Many of the provinces have business categories for those who wish to establish businesses in these provinces. For as low as CAD $250,000 investment, you can proudly buy or start a business in a province in Canada and become a permanent resident. The conditions and eligibility vary amongst the provinces but irrespective of where you choose, you will be welcome warmly to the community. Programs under this category include:

Entrepreneur & Self Employed Persons

There are several programs under this category. They include,Start up visa and Self Employed.

Farm Managers and Owner

Some provinces admit foreign nationals with experiences in farm management. They come to Canada to manage farms spread across various locations in the provinces. Some factors that will be considered for an applicant for this program include:

CUSMA: This was previously known as NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement). It facilitates trades amongst the citizens of Mexico, United States and Canada, without the need for a LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment). There are 4 categories:

    • Visitors.
    • Professionals.
    • Intra-company transferees.
    • Traders and investors.

Each of the categories facilitates entry into Canada and enable the applicant to stay in line with the rules specified in the permit.

Caregivers

This program has a periodic update, the aged in Canada require care and support in their everyday life activities. So also, is the working class who require support and care for their children while they are busy at work.

Caregivers are thereby in high demand in Canada to fill the gap. They work in the home and help their clients with daily activities such as feeding, grooming, taking medication, bathing, performing some housework like laundry and housekeeping, keeping appointment with the doctors, arranging for transportation, taking/picking children to and from school and serving as companion. Through the program the applicant will get a work permit in Canada, which will enable them to qualify for PR. The applicant must meet the eligibility requirements and have a job offer.
